CASE STUDY
I Am in Huta — communicating with young people through an animated comic
For the Archdiocese of Kraków, we created the animated promotional spot “I Am in Huta” for a youth gathering. As part of the film production , we developed an original concept based on a simple and engaging comic-book style that allowed the message to be communicated in a dynamic and accessible way.
The challenge
The film was intended primarily for a young audience, so a conventional informational format would not have been engaging enough.
We needed a simple, distinctive visual language that would attract attention quickly, lead the viewer through the story and remain clear with a relatively small number of graphic elements.
Our approach
We proposed the format of an animated comic, combining illustrations, backgrounds and dynamic movement of individual visual elements.
The production required close cooperation with the illustrators, so that the way each graphic element would later be used in animation could already be considered during the illustration stage. The individual elements were then animated and edited to a rhythm shaped by the film's narrative.
